Engineer, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Hotel Engineer

It is the responsibility of the Hotel Engineer to respond to calls throughout the property; troubleshoot and repair the items as needed. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities:

• Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of Hotel Operations Maintenance.
• Must have at least two years experience in plumbing – toilet repair and replacement, faucet repair and replacement, and snaking drains.
• Two years electrical experience, rewiring lamps, outlets and smoke alarms.
• Maintain lighting in rooms and hallways as needed.
• Having working knowledge in HVAC, locks, televisions, and electronic safes.
• Must be personable and clean in appearance and good working with the public.
• Willing to work on call for emergencies, holidays and weekends.
• Perform other duties as requested.
• Must be willing to work holidays and all shifts and days off are to be determined.
• Respond to fire alarms.
• Communicate on a two way radio.

Qualifications:

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
• Related degree preferred or accredited certification.
• 2 years experience.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.
• Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
