Grounds Maintenance Worker 2, Facilities Management

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Grounds Maintenance Worker 2, Facilities Management. Incumbents perform duties such as weed and trash removal, sweeping sidewalks, debris and perform general labor in maintaining grounds using hand tools such as rakes and shovels. The schedule is M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm. Employees must possess and maintain a valid State of Nevada Driver's license as a condition of and throughout employment.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background screening.

Six months of experience performing basic grounds maintenance work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; OR six months of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service.

Grade 22, Step 1, salary $39,818.16. In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade. A "Step" refers to the specific rate of pay within a grade, as determined by the Division of Human Resources.
