POSITION EXPECTATIONS

The Custodian will clean and maintain assigned areas of the LVCC according to company procedures and federal guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of interior and exterior areas as assigned. Cleans and maintains interiors areas such as restrooms, meeting rooms, exhibit halls, lobbies, elevators, escalators, (public and emergency) stairwells, service corridors, entrances, miscellaneous rooms, and break rooms. Clean and maintain exterior areas such as the Plaza area, driveways, parking lots, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, plant areas, and seating areas.

    Submit work orders by phone or over the radio when necessary. Report any LVCVA property or equipment damage to a supervisor.
  • Properly check out tools from the warehouse to perform assigned tasks and returns in a clean and neat order. Communicate mechanical issues to supervisors and Services Support Technicians.
  • Wipe, clean and disinfect all surfaces of the assigned area, including interior/exterior windows, door hardware, air vents, furniture, walls (graffiti removal), room fixtures, hard surfaces (counters, mirrors), trash receptacles, and ash urns. Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrape floors, and extract carpet to maintain the facility’s flooring. Remove all trash and debris from receptacles.
  • Restock all disposable products, basic supplies, and cleaning materials stored in supply closets and cabinets.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility dispensers and receptacles, e.g., paper products (paper towels, toilet seat covers, toilet paper), hand soap and feminine hygiene products.
  • Operate light- and medium-duty motor equipment and electric utility vehicles. Will frequently operate small ride-on scrubbers and sweepers, floor machines, portable and stationary pressure washers, portable and truck-mount carpet extractors and auxiliary attachments, and specialized cleaning equipment. Communicate mechanical issues to Supervisors and Services Support Technicians.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Three months of job-related experience and/or training
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and operating/ maintenance manuals
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Communicate effectively with customers and fellow ambassadors
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid Nevada driver's license and keep it current during employment.

Must pass all assigned courses/classes deemed necessary by management.
