Position: Janitorial Operations Lead

We’re searching for a hard-working Operations Lead to add to our growing staff. In this position, it will be your job to supervise and oversee multiple individual cleaners to keep buildings disinfected and clean. As part of that goal, you’ll be asked to complete many different tasks. You will be responsible for receiving, placing, and delivering supply orders, inspecting work completed, and ensuring facilities are secured at the conclusion of the shift.

Tasks the individual cleaners are responsible for include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors. They will also need to restock restroom supplies and ensure that bathrooms remain clean and sanitary. Some other tasks will include disposing of trash, collecting waste from throughout the building, and keeping kitchen/lunchrooms clean and orderly. In the event of a call‑off, the Operations Manager will be responsible for stepping in to complete these duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the work of individual janitorial cleaners
  • Perform nightly inspections to ensure quality of service meets/exceeds customer expectations
  • Regularly communicate with customer contact to ensure quality, consistency, and satisfaction
  • Ensure the security of all facilities (lights off, alarms armed, entry doors locked, etc.)
  • Maintain cleaning inventory, placing and delivering orders for new products when needed
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • “Roll up your sleeves” when call‑offs occur to avoid any disruptions in service
  • Perform minor repairs on machinery, equipment and tools
  • Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions

Requires:

  • Previous management and/or operations experience.
  • Experience in the same/similar industry a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them.
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.
  • Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Commitment to internal and external customer service.
  • Must be a team player.
Working Conditions:

Casual attire. Sitting, bending, stooping, and heavy lifting may be required to perform the duties of this role.

Schedule:

This is a full-time, exempt position with an average of ~40 hours per week expected. Primary schedule will be M-F, 6pm-2am, however some weekend/holiday and work outside of these core hours may be required.
