We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and attentive Painter / Maintenance Associate to join our Plant Operations team full-time!
In this dual-purpose role, your primary focus will be surface preparation, painting, and drywall repair across resident apartments, care units, and common campus areas. You will also assist our maintenance team with general facility repairs, room turnovers, and preventive maintenance tasks. Key ResponsibilitiesPainting & Surface Prep: Inspect, prep, spackle, sand, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces (drywall, wood, trim, doors, and masonry) across the campus.
Apartment Turnovers: Repair drywall holes, patch plaster, touch up trim, and repaint vacant resident units to ensure timely, high-standard move-in readiness.
General Maintenance Support: Assist with routine maintenance work orders, including light plumbing, fixture replacement, minor carpentry, hardware repairs, and moving furniture/equipment as needed.
Preventive Care: Perform regular inspections of common hallways, stairwells, and exterior facades to identify and touch up scuffs, wear, or damaged finishes.
Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain clean, safe work areas; properly store, handle, and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials following OSHA and community safety protocols.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of professional painting experience (residential, commercial, or healthcare facility preferred); basic general maintenance skills required.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with various application methods (brushes, rollers, sprayers), surface patching, caulking, color matching, and drywall repair.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, stretch, climb ladders/scaffolding, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
Work Ethic: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable with strong time-management skills.
