Maintenance Technician Position – Lawrence, Kansas
This is a full‑time maintenance technician role on the 2nd or 3rd shift. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs, inspect, operate or test machinery, diagnose malfunctions, and implement solutions to keep manufacturing processes running efficiently and safely. Full training specific to the requirements of operations will be provided.
Primary Functions- Diagnose and repair equipment with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
- Monitor and improve performance, operation, and preventative maintenance of production equipment and facilities
- Identify, detect, report, and repair improper operations, faulty equipment, and unsafe conditions
- Understand and comply with safety programs, safety policies, and PPE requirements
- Respond to written and verbal requests to repair equipment malfunctions
- Specify and order parts and supplies as needed
- Monitor the PM program and complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks
- Be on‑call for emergency repairs on nights and weekends every 3rd week
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Maintain inventory area cleanliness and accuracy
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
- Good visual observation skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, and CMMS)
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Electrical control and troubleshooting skills, including use of electrical testing equipment and diagnostic software on PC
- PLC and VFD drive experience preferred
- Experience:
Five years of hands‑on industrial machinery maintenance, preferably in printing/paper, web coating, or converting/slitting industry - Education:
High School diploma or GED; technical maintenance training preferred

- Schedule:
2nd shift 3 pm‑11 pm or 3rd shift 1 pm‑7 am Monday through Friday; on‑call for emergency repairs on nights & weekends every 3rd week - Shift Availability:
