Seasonal Maintenance Worker

Seasonal FT (20-40 hours per week)

• Maintains the facility’s appearance by picking up trash, repairing, and replacing broken items.
• Works on structural repairs and/or remodeling projects in agency buildings.
• Provides ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking, and disposing of leaves, etc.
• Reviews agency vehicles on a regular basis for necessary maintenance and assists with scheduling oil changes and car washes.
• Completes general building upkeep tasks such as replacing light bulbs, switch and outlet cover plates, light globes, smoke alarm batteries, window screens, curtain rods, and heating/air filters.
• Assists with large and long‑term cleaning projects.
• Performs repair or general maintenance work of facilities, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazing, and painting tasks.
• Repairs and treats structures such as showers, toilets, floors, sinks, walls, carpets, and roofs.
• Performs minor repairs, troubleshoots and adjusts locks on cabinets, doors, closets, and desks.
• Changes filters on ventilating, heating, and air conditioning units.
• Moves and assists in transportation of furniture and equipment.
• Sets up and breaks down cubicle partitions.
• Sets up tables and chairs for meetings.
• Creates a safe client environment by performing all required security and safety procedures.
