Locomotive Electrician, build and rebuild locomotives and locomotive assemblies.

West Wareham, MA. The employee’s work site will depend on the current project or projects; potential for travel should be expected.

Five years equivalent experience building and/or maintaining heavy equipment. Strong understanding of locomotive maintenance and repair; manufacturing experience a plus. Preferred experience working with diesel engines, propulsion and pneumatics in large industry such as Rail, Agriculture, Mining, Marine, etc.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to communicate verbally with others.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
