Direct Hire – $30‑35 per hour + benefits
Schedule:
Overnight Shift – 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 4 × 10.5‑hour days
We’re partnering with a growing food production company in Lawrence, MA that is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing to support overnight production operations. This role is perfect for hands‑on troubleshooting, fixing equipment, and keeping a fast‑paced manufacturing operation running smoothly. You’ll work on production machinery, conveyors, pumps, packaging equipment, motors, PLCs, VFDs, electrical controls, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

- Perform preventive maintenance to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Work on motors, conveyors, pumps, packaging machines, and other production equipment.
- Diagnose faults involving PLCs, VFDs, relays, fuse boxes, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment components.
- Complete maintenance records and work orders using a CMMS or similar system.
- Follow all safety, food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Partner with production and sanitation teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience in food, beverage, packaging, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, relays, HMIs, and electrical controls.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical school, trade school, or maintenance training preferred.
- Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Dependable, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently during an overnight shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, bending, crouching, and working around production machinery.
- Able to work in an industrial environment with noise, equipment, and active production areas.
