The custodial worker performs general cleaning of campus facilities for the college. This position works to provide clean and sanitary facilities for students, faculty, staff, and the general public on a daily basis.
Job Duties- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, classrooms, eating areas, offices, and meeting rooms.
- Responsible for vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Responsible for dusting furniture.
- Responsible for cleaning windows.
- Disposes of trash in a safe manner according to state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for buffing floors.
- Responsible for stripping and waxing of floors.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school Diploma/GED and 3 year experience
- High school Diploma/GED and 5 years experience or equivalent
- Must be physically able to lift heavy items, i.e. office furniture, equipment, etc.
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community and technical college and to personalized maintenance and operations services.
