Maintenance Team Member

Eastern Sports Management is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Team Member. The Maintenance Team Member is a part-time, seasonal position that is responsible for upkeep and care of all outdoor sports assets. Maintenance Team Members are supervised and evaluated by the Maintenance Team Lead and property General Manager.

• Maintain infields at baseball/softball fields using hand, power, or riding equipment.
• Assist in storm recovery efforts to get sports fields game‑ready after rain.
• Apply infield conditioner, quick dry, or other materials as needed.
• Maintain edging between grass and dirt on playing surfaces.
• Remove trash or other debris from playing surfaces.
• Prepare playing fields for game day using chalk or paint as needed.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by supervisory personnel and/or the General Manager.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Familiarity with typical lawn and sports field care equipment
• Detail oriented and possess outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with integrity
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage and accurately track material resources and time
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary
• Availability to work flexible hours based on facility needs

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

• Minimum of two (2) years of sports field maintenance experience, or minimum of two (2) years experience in landscaping or similar field; high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English
• Ability to operate power or riding equipment
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills

Maintenance Team Members normally perform their duties in an outdoor environment exposed to ambient meteorological conditions. Exposure to dusty and/or pollen‑laden environments is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
