Lead Janitor

Full‑time janitorial position k Thursday to Sunday, four 10‑hour shifts (6 am – 4:30 pm).

• Execute janitorial duties at HAFB, including cleaning restrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, vacuuming assigned areas, high and low dusting, and emptying trash.
• Assist in transporting crews to assigned work areas daily.
• Perform a specific designated task – i.e., train, floor scheduler, supervise swing or 4x10 shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• May perform supervisory duties in the absence of their supervisor.
• Conduct quality inspections on janitorial workers.

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.
• Two years’ prior custodial experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Ability to pass and maintain clearance for the HAFB background check.

• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Must be familiar with HAFB building locations.
• Must be familiar with work assigned for shift to be completed.

Employee regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, walk, sit, and occasionally lift or move products and supplies up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work inside buildings and occasionally exposed to weather when walking between work sites. Noise level usually quiet, moderate on the flightline.
