Freezer Automation Intec Operator

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing and resolving any automation faults that occur on pallet conveyor, case conveyors, conventional palletizers, and hardening tunnels in one of the world's largest ice cream freezers.
• Additional tasks include operating powered industrial forklifts, following specific SOPs, cleaning processes, and properly documenting Food Safety and Quality programs, processes, and inspections in a cold storage warehouse environment.
• Operate all Intecs, palletizers, and shack tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality programs and processes.
• Complete all job duties in accordance with safety procedures, policies, verbal instructions from Freezer Leadership, best practices, and work documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Works, and Talking Points.
• Manage all functions of the palletizers: troubleshoot faults, monitor product condition, assist maintenance, adjust settings, and coordinate flavor changes when necessary.

• Perform shack duties by maintaining product flow on conveyors, assisting maintenance in troubleshooting conveyor issues, and creating inventory in Oracle, including generating LPNs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Warehouse experience and forklift knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to learn basic safety and orientation knowledge, systems flow, and overview of all departments of the freezer, and be able to be trained in a specialized area of work.
• Must have time‑management and effective communication skills.
• Must be able to pass proficiency tests within the allotted time after training.
• Must be able to meet the Physical Demand Assessment Standards.

Pay:
Starting rate of $28.41 per hour with pay increases at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Top rate of pay at 12 months is $31.56 per hour. Night shift receives an additional $1.50 per hour for night shift differential.

Approximate shift start times are 4:55 AM and 6:55 AM with a normal shift length of 10 to 12 hours.
