Attendant Room

Overview

Role Purpose
:
As a Room Attendant – you’ll make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in or get a bit of last minute work done.

• Ensure rooms are at their best; maintain high standards and make each room special and memorable for guests.
• Assist guests with needs such as toothbrushes or directions when requested.
• Keep your supervisor updated on room service progress and alert them to any repairs needed.
• Follow established safety procedures and wear protective equipment when required.
• Be organized: manage supplies and amenities and minimize waste.
• Reunite items with owners and log any lost and found property.
• Present a professional appearance by wearing your uniform with pride.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as needed to complete tasks.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities across all housekeeping areas to minimize waste.
• Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments per hotel procedures to ensure quality service.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects and turndown duties as required.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.

• This is a physical role; you’ll be on your feet most of the day and fitness is important.
• Strength to lift items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and push/pull heavy objects.
• Ability to bend and kneel to complete activities as needed.
• Literacy in reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Flexible attitude to shifts; may require nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Hourly pay rate: $17.75 per hour.
