The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a shift maintenance team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees daily maintenance operations, coordinates planned and unplanned repairs, provides technical support to operations, and drives equipment reliability and uptime. The position reports to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager and works closely with Production and Engineering leadership to support operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of the assigned maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of work.
  • Oversee both scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repair activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Deploy maintenance resources effectively to support production schedules and operational priorities.
  • Partner with Operations to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and overall plant productivity.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed to high-quality standards and within established timelines.
  • Develop and execute daily maintenance plans based on production requirements and maintenance needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for equipment and process-related issues.
  • Assist with the training, coaching, and development of maintenance technicians.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem‑solving efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring failures.
  • Review and monitor work orders, preventive maintenance programs, and maintenance records to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience with the ability to lead and develop technical teams.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities in a production‑focused environment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.
  • Electrical, controls, automation, or PLC experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
  • Solid computer proficiency and experience with maintenance documentation systems.
