Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technicians perform technical and mechanical work that ensures the inside and external buildings/apartments, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the community exceed standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality at one of our luxury apartment communities through supporting the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. By delivering exemplary customer service, our Communities exceed the apartment living standard. As a Maintenance Technician, daily operations are centered around our core values by putting people first, taking ownership of every situation, doing the right thing every time, maintaining financial discipline and living generously.
The daily duties of the Maintenance Technician include:
- Ensure resident service requests are handled in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs to the community including plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry and electrical
- Comply with OSHA/EPA regulations
- Maintain the exterior/interior of the community to exceed apartment living standards
- Ensures the community and staff follow Fair Housing regulations nationally/locally and other laws governing multi-family operations.
- Any other additional task required
Hours:
Full-time 8a-5p rotating weekends to assist with pool cleaning
* this position does require being on call for maintenance emergencies
Compensation:
Based on experience starting at $18+ an hour! All of our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including full medical, dental, vision, 401k plan and PTO!
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or related experience and/or training
- Background in excellent customer service
- EPA Universal HVAC Certified for refrigerant recycling
- Provide own hand tools and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
- Excellent team-building skills and self-motivated
- Proficient communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills are required
- Able to be on-call for responding to after-hours emergencies
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous walking and standing
- Must be able to perform work both inside and outside, which requires stooping, bending and lifting of approximately 50 pounds
