Apprentice - $18.08 per hour

The purpose of the class is to learn to maintain Lift Stations. The class is responsible for learning to schedule and/or perform preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, and reports. This class works within a general outline of work to be performed under general supervision. Weekend, holiday and after‑hours work may be required, as well as after‑hours response and emergencies.

Responsibilities
  • Learns how to troubleshoot Lift Station malfunctions and performs repairs.
  • Learns how to remove and replace equipment or components; installs new equipment or components.
  • Maintains lift station facility and grounds including mowing grass, cleaning area of trash and debris, and other maintenance.
  • Learns how to evaluate system readings, run time meter readings.
  • Monitors condition of vehicles assigned; performs minor maintenance and service; reports major malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Attends division staff meetings to exchange information; attends in‑service training and technical classes to improve technical skills.
  • This position is subject to assigned on‑call rotation.
Technician "C" - $21.14 per hour
  • Performs preventive maintenance on Lift Station piping, systems, and equipment in accordance with prescribed schedules.
  • Troubleshoots Lift Station malfunctions and repairs; reports major malfunctions to supervisor for further action.
  • Must verify equipment operation through the SCADA system controller.
  • Removes and replaces equipment or components; installs new equipment or components.
  • Maintains lift station facility and grounds including mowing grass, cleaning area of trash and debris, and other maintenance.
  • Assists plant/facility maintenance staff in assigned duties.
  • Evaluates system readings, run time meter readings and takes appropriate action as necessary.
  • Maintains logs of maintenance actions and turns in completed work orders.
  • Monitors condition of vehicles assigned; performs minor maintenance and service; reports major malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Attends division staff meetings to exchange information; attends in‑service training and technical classes to improve technical skills.
  • This position is subject to assigned on‑call rotation.
Technician "B" - $22.87 per hour
  • Schedules and performs preventive maintenance on Lift Station piping, systems, and equipment in accordance with prescribed schedules.
  • Troubleshoots Lift Station malfunctions and repairs; reports major malfunctions to supervisor for further action.
  • Must verify equipment operation through the SCADA system controller and maintain SCADA system.
  • Removes and replaces equipment or components; installs new equipment or components.
  • Maintains lift station facility and grounds including mowing grass, cleaning area of trash and debris, and other maintenance.
  • Assists plant/facility maintenance staff in assigned duties.
  • Guides and assists less experienced workers.
  • Evaluates system readings, run time meter readings and takes appropriate action as necessary.
  • Maintains logs of maintenance actions and closes work orders using CMMS program (Infor).
  • Monitors condition of vehicles assigned; performs minor maintenance and service; reports major malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Attends division staff meetings to exchange information; attends in‑service training and technical classes to improve technical skills.
  • Performs routine office tasks, such as typing, filing, faxing, phoning, and copying.
  • This position is subject to assigned on‑call rotation.
Technician "A" - $25.72 per hour
  • Schedules and performs preventive maintenance on Lift Station piping, systems, and equipment in accordance with prescribed schedules.
  • Troubleshoots Lift Station malfunctions and repairs; reports major malfunctions to supervisor for further action.
  • Must verify equipment operation through the SCADA system controller and maintain SCADA system.
  • Removes and replaces equipment or components; installs new equipment or components.
  • Maintains lift station facility and grounds including mowing grass, cleaning area of trash and debris, and other maintenance.
  • Assists plant/facility maintenance staff in assigned duties.
