What You'll Be DoingThis position involves responsible skilled and semiskilled maintenance work in the Department of Public Works that can include performing maintenance and repair activities on Town streets, parks and grounds. Work also includes assisting with special community events. Work requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

• HS/GED; minimum of one year experience performing a variety of skilled trades and/or maintenance work
• Possess a valid Class B commercial driver's license and a safe driving record
• Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment and construction skills
• Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid or ability to obtain within six months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of specific road maintenance experience including repair and snow removal; experienced with the use of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
• Possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license and a safe driving record (Town sponsored process for obtaining a Class A CDL)
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (Additional pay upon successful language assessment)
