Hennessy Research Associates – a Kemin company is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to support two active locations and an off‑site warehouse. In this role, you’ll transport raw materials, handle routine facility upkeep, and take on hands‑on maintenance. Responsibilities
  • General and routine maintenance including: light electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, machine repair, piping, etc.
  • Responsible for staging and loading all non-bulk shipments.
  • Fabricate components from blueprints.
  • Machinery assembly and disassembly.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) and repairs.
  • GMP Compliance.
  • Ability to perform maintenance on refrigeration.
  • Load/unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Must be able to follow all safety requirements.
  • May be responsible for assisting with the installation of equipment.
  • Work with other departments such as, but not limited to;
    Quality Control, Production, Inventory, Customer Service, Purchasing, and R&D.
  • May need to be available to be on‑call.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • High School degree with up to 10+ years of related experience or technical school degree with 7-10 years of related experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehousing operations is essential.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling or support equipment used in warehousing.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Time management skills.
  • Advanced technical skills, including: machine repair, piping, machine rigging, HVAC, etc.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Qualified with Lockout-Tagout, Confined Space, Hot-Work Procedures, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
