Maintenance Assistant

Mount Carmel Care Center invites experienced maintenance professionals to join our faith‑based, boutique‑sized long‑term care facility located in the heart of the Berkshires.

Maintain daily custodial and maintenance tasks, perform repairs, and support the overall upkeep of the facility.

• Complete daily maintenance and custodial assignments with minimal supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and HVAC work.
• Operate and maintain heavy floor maintenance equipment, floor waxing, and other floor care procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, equipment malfunctions, defective equipment, and unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor or Director.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with maintenance and repairs, including patch/painting, wallpapering, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Experience utilizing floor maintenance equipment.

• 32 hours per week.
• $18 to $24 per hour, based on skills and experience.
