Location: Lewiston,
Pay: $17.13/HR
Schedule: Temporary Assignment (Approximately 6-8 Weeks)
Shift: Friday-Tuesday, 4 AM until noon | off on Wednesday/Thursday
We are hiring a dependable Custodian to support a busy fuel, retail, and car wash facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
This is a temporary opportunity with the potential for additional consideration as business needs evolve.
Must-Haves- Strong customer service skills
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently
- Sweep parking lots and outdoor areas
- Empty exterior trash receptacles
- Clean windows and window wash stations
- Clean and maintain trash cans
- Change window wash water as needed
- Clean and maintain laundromat facilities, including machines, lint traps, floors, and common areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Clean car wash bays, including removing debris from trenches
- Spray down car wash bays, building exterior, and lot areas
- Assist with store cleaning and cooler stocking as directed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized property
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
- Ability to complete a variety of custodial and facility maintenance tasks
- Custodial or janitorial experience
- Groundskeeping or property maintenance experience
- Retail or customer service experience
- Facility maintenance experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to a height of at least 4 feet
- Frequent bending, stretching, reaching, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift grates and use shovels to remove debris from car wash trenches
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Consistent work schedule
- Variety of indoor and outdoor responsibilities
- Active, hands-on work environment
- Opportunity to gain custodial and facility maintenance experience
