Job Description What does the job involve?

The custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe throughout the facility.

What will my responsibilities include?

Adheres to all safety rules and uses proper personal protective equipment.

Reports unsafe hazards or conditions.

Cleans, sweeps, mops, buffs and vacuums floors.

Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, fills soap and paper dispensers.

Cleans, polishes and vacuums furniture and fixtures.

Dusts furniture, walls, machines and equipment.

Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors.

Gathers and empties trash and recycling materials.

Maintains outside walkways and picnic table areas, to include picking up debris in parking lot and lawn areas.

Reports malfunctioning, damaged or broken fixtures, furniture and equipment to Management.

Tracks and requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

What key skills and experience do I need?

Must have good organizational and communication skills and ability to work well with external and internal customers, must be able to read and write in English.

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

One (1) year or more of custodial experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.
