Custodian - Part-Time

Job Description

The custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring that all areas are safe throughout the facility.

• Adheres to all safety rules and uses proper personal protective equipment.
• Reports unsafe hazards or conditions.
• Cleans, sweeps, mops, buffs and vacuums floors.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, fills soap and paper dispensers.
• Cleans, polishes and vacuums furniture and fixtures.
• Dusts furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
• Gathers and empties trash and recycling materials.
• Maintains outside walkways and picnic table areas, including picking up debris in parking lot and lawn areas.
• Reports malfunctioning, damaged or broken fixtures, furniture and equipment to Management.
• Tracks and requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

• Must have good organizational and communication skills and ability to work well with external and internal customers; must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• One (1) year or more of custodial experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.
