Environmental Services Technician (Part-time

Position: Environmental Services Technician (Part-time)
Geisinger -  - Responsibilities:
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical suites, clinical areas, office spaces, corridors and stairwells as assigned according to industry best practices and policy;
Handle various waste streams including municipal waste, recyclable waste, pharmaceutical waste, biohazardous waste, chemotherapeutic waste and sharps;
Wear standard personal protective equipment and adhere to isolation precautions when entering isolation rooms;
Use hospital-approved chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to prevent damage to floors and fixtures;
Perform weekly detail cleaning of ORs including high dusting, wall washing, ceilings, tracks, vents and lights, and scrub sinks or floors as needed
