Job Summary and Qualifications

General Maintenance Technician II w/ Certification/License primary responsibility includes performing HVAC repairs/preventative maintenance on equipment. Other duties include repair and installation of plumbing fixtures; inspection/testing, repair and/or replacement of electrical power equipment; and running of emergency power generator to ensure proper operation. The Technician also performs general maintenance duties in and around the buildings of the hospital complex.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of a commercial technical school or comparable experience in one of the following fields
  • Boiler Mechanic, or Heat Ventilation Air Condition (HVAC), or Journeyman Electrician, or Licensed Plumber, or Maintenance License
  • Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Certificate
  • Must possess one of the following State of Texas issued: HVAC license, Journeyman’s Electricians License, Plumbing license, Boiler certification, Plant Operator certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or Boiler Plant Operation
