Maintenance Director

Our senior living community is seeking a Maintenance Director to join our dedicated team.

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our residents, families, and community.

• Oversee ongoing preventive maintenance of the facility building, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems as they arise.
• Ensure maintenance services are available for emergency needs outside of regular working hours.
• Coordinate with licensed vendors approved by administration when necessary.
• Assist residents with moving and minor repairs.
• Apply safety awareness and follow safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.

• Demonstrate self‑supervision and self‑motivation.
• Set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive, courteous and respectful attitude toward residents, families, staff, and visitors.

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Prior experience managing a team.
• Knowledge of plumbing (design and mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.).
• Knowledge of HVAC (general principles, heat pump operation, refrigeration).
• Knowledge of electrical systems (wiring, voltage, amperage).
• Knowledge of mechanics (engine design and operation).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
