Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

Our senior living community is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community.

• Oversee the ongoing preventative maintenance of the facility building, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems as they arise.
• Ensure maintenance services are available for emergency needs outside of regular working hours.
• Perform most tasks independently and utilize licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance.
• Assist residents with moving and minor repairs.

• Practice good safety awareness and follow safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.
• Be self‑supervising and self‑motivating.
• Set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate a positive, courteous, and respectful attitude toward residents, families, staff, and visitors.

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Prior experience in managing a team.
• Knowledge of plumbing, including design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.
• Knowledge of HVAC, including general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of electricity, including wiring, voltage, and amperage.
• Knowledge of mechanics, including design and operation of engines.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
