Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for seasonal JANITOR positions.

Location:

University of Kentucky College Campus – 650 Woodland Avenue, Lexington, KY 40506. (Openings at other locations within the school district available. Online applications accepted only.)

Schedule:

Seasonal schedule; days may vary from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Schedule is subject to change. Full‑time and part‑time shifts are available to meet most scheduling needs.

Requirement: 1 year of prior janitorial experience is required.

Pay Range: $14.00 per hour to $14.50 per hour.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning, then restore furniture to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces and follow the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
