Extension Custodian - Martin

Position Overview

Extension Custodian – Martin County, Inez, KY Full‑time, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (occasional nights, weekends or holidays). Salary $15.30–$19.30 per hour. No supervisory responsibilities.

• Facility management, cleaning, maintenance, basic landscaping.
• Set up conference rooms, general repairs.
• Cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen, office areas; vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash and recyclables.
• Outdoor cleaning and landscaping tasks such as mowing, weed‑eating, floor stripping and waxing, changing light bulbs, steam cleaning carpets.
• Maintain appearance of the office and grounds; conduct oneself in a professional manner.

• Driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, bend, reach, climb as required; able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Preferred: previous experience in maintenance or janitorial field.
• No minimum education or related experience specified.

• State law requires background check and a clearance letter regarding child abuse records.
• Possible national background check and drug screening per University policy.
