Physical Requirements: Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs;
Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods;
Repetitive motion;
Eye strain due to monitoring of multiple computer screens;
High stress, quick response environment.

Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm (Sunday – Saturday)

Other shift options: 3:00pm – 11:00pm; 11:00pm – 7:00am; 12:00am – 12:00pm; 12:00pm – 12:00am

Staff is subject to Call-Ins and On-Call Scheduling. The Delta Center operates 24/7. Work shifts/schedules may vary dependent upon staffing needs requiring evening(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.

Job Summary
  • Monitor and respond to computer systems.
  • Critical safety and security systems, including:
    • Fire exit door alarm systems
    • Incoming fire alarms
    • Elevator alarms
    • Multi-frequency two-way radio system
    • General telephone lines, etc.
  • Operate equipment to receive, process, and disseminate incoming alarms and general information calls.
  • Receive and evaluate incoming requests for public safety assistance and route requests or disseminate information to appropriate field unit(s) as required.
  • Use discretion in determining severity of situation and appropriate response.
  • Utilize problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, resulting in effective resolution.
  • Report all hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately to leadership.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of customers in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Prepare and maintain daily activity and emergency event logs.
  • Adhere to and enforce all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Understand and comply with procedures pertaining to emergencies.
  • Work cooperatively with superiors and other employees.
  • Remain alert and maintain real‑time situational awareness.
  • Demonstrate professional integrity and accountability in all transactions.
  • Perform daily tests on systems and alarms to ensure proper function and backup capability is working properly.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
  • Participate in the set‑up of new facilities and equipment.
  • Complete end‑of‑shift reports and prepare for upcoming shift.
  • Complete all required work documentation accurately and submit on time.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Ms Windows/Office; SAP; KRONOS

Driver’s License — Preferred

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment;
Effectively communicate with all levels of customers in a clear, concise, and professional manner;
Understand and comply with procedures pertaining to emergencies;
Demonstrate problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills resulting in effective resolution;
Self‑motivated;
Carry out tasks independently.
