Summary
The Maintenance and Lawn Care team member will assist the maintenace team with general property, building maintenance and lawn care at various company properties. Duties include maintaining of the lawns, driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, or any other public areas, maintenance of property flowerbeds, plants, and grass areas.
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
- Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
- Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
- Install and position (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
- Asisst and removal of daily trash removal from all public exterior areas as needed
- Performs lawn mowing, trimming, edging
- Assist with Spring & Fall cleanup
- Assist with basic tree and bush trimming
- Snow removal (When applicable)
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- General knowledge of daily maintenance grounds keeping/landscaping
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
- Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other employees, management, visitors, outside contractors, and the general public.
- Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
