: 1st Shift 6:30 am-3:00 pm;
Every other weekend & every other holiday

Pay Range
: $18.85 - $28.30

Major Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect assigned areas, including walls, doors, ceilings, furniture, floors, and equipment, following departmental schedules and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain environmental services equipment in accordance with department procedures.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and solutions in compliance with policy and safety regulations.
  • Maintain orderly, clean, and safe work areas.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction, using AIDET with internal and external customers.
  • Resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively with colleagues.
  • Show a positive, supportive attitude toward patient families and hospital personnel.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow chain of command for complaints or grievances.
  • Thoroughly wash and sanitize beds and rooms upon patient discharge, using appropriate germicides.
  • Replenish supplies, collect waste, and sanitize garbage cans.
  • Adhere to Universal Precautions, Infection Control Policies, and other departmental policies.
  • Clean or sanitize after emergency spills as requested.
  • Place soiled linen in linen chutes and ensure a safe, clean, and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and associates.
  • Wash hands continually and follow hospital hand‑washing policy.
  • Prepare detergents, germicidal solutions, and other cleaning solutions according to established formulas.
  • Sweep, dust, mop, and spot‑clean floors, and shampoo furniture, carpets, and rugs as scheduled.
  • Identify soiled or spotting types and use proper solutions per policy.
  • Label chemicals and solutions accurately.
  • Move and rearrange equipment and furniture safely and orderly.
  • Attend equipment inspections and report repair needs or safety hazards.
  • Return unused supplies and clean carts and equipment.
  • Collect and dispose of hazardous and medical waste in accordance with Infection Control Committee procedures.
  • Separate regular and recycled trash per procedure.
Professional Growth and Competence
  • Attend all mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and in‑services.
  • Complete annual CBTs.
  • Review departmental goals and objectives annually with manager.
  • Pursue education and learning experiences in identified growth areas.
  • Maintain proper attendance and punctuality as per Hospital Policy and Procedure Manual.
Education / Experience Required
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Operate small electrical equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners).
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Communicate effectively in English, including reading and understanding chemical labels and safety materials.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Walk, stand, bend, climb, and lift throughout the work day.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; use equipment or partner for heavier lifts.
