Summary

Responsible for leading day-to-day facilities maintenance activities across multiple company locations. Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, contractor coordination, and facility improvement projects while providing work direction and technical guidance to maintenance personnel. This position works closely with the Operations Manager/Facilities Lead and supports facility needs across manufacturing, warehousing, and office operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Facilities Maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and mechanical systems within skill level.
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities according to established schedules.
  • Perform facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain facility appearance, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Assist with office, warehouse, and production area improvements.
Grounds & Exterior Maintenance
  • Coordinate and/or perform grounds maintenance activities.
  • Assist with snow removal and ice management.
  • Repair fencing, signage, sidewalks, parking lots, and exterior building components.
  • Maintain exterior lighting and security-related systems.
Equipment & Asset Support
  • Assist with maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, trailers, compressors, generators, and other company equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
  • Coordinate vendor service visits when required.
  • Monitor equipment condition and identify replacement needs.
Contractor Coordination
  • Coordinate service contractors and vendors.
  • Escort contractors as needed.
  • Obtain quotes and assist with project planning.
  • Verify work completion and communicate issues to management.
Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Complete assigned PM activities.
  • Assist in maintaining facility PM schedules.
  • Document completed maintenance activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions.
  • Support facility inspections and compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in food safety, quality, and workplace safety programs as required.
General Responsibilities
  • Maintain organized maintenance areas, tools, and supplies.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects.
  • Respond to facility emergencies as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency response when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provides technical leadership, work direction, training, and coordination for maintenance personnel and contractors supporting company facilities.
  • Assign and prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate maintenance resources during facility emergencies, weather events, and special projects.
  • Monitor completion of preventative maintenance activities.
  • Lead in scheduling maintenance activities and contractor support.
  • This position provides day-to-day work direction and technical leadership to maintenance personnel but does not have direct responsibility for hiring, discipline, compensation, or formal performance management.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 10+ years of maintenance, facilities, construction, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred
  • Industrial maintenance experience.
  • HVAC troubleshooting experience.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Forklift and aerial lift operation experience.
  • Preventative maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
