The Environmental Services Aide plays an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients, families, and caregivers. As an Environmental Services Aide, you'll help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital while making a meaningful impact on the patient experience every day.
As an Environmental Services Aide, a typical day might include the following:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, treatment areas, offices, and public spaces throughout the hospital.
- Dust, damp mop, vacuum, and spot clean floors, carpets, furniture, and fixtures.
- Empty, clean, and reline waste containers while safely handling regular and contaminated waste.
- Clean and prepare patient beds and cribs following discharge, including isolation room cleaning procedures.
- Replenish restroom and environmental supplies to ensure patient and staff areas remain fully stocked.
- Report maintenance concerns and submit work orders for repairs when needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and use supplies responsibly and efficiently.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and hospital cleaning protocols at all times.
- Participate in department meetings, required education, and ongoing training to support professional development.
- Work collaboratively with patients, visitors, clinical staff, and fellow team members to provide outstanding service.

- Schedule:
Day shift, Monday through Friday, rotating weekends7:00am-3:30pm, Full-Time 40 hours per week
To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to speak, read and write English. Previous environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, or healthcare cleaning experience is preferred.
