We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain a 49-unit and a 44-unit apartment community in Lincoln, CA. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and values creating a safe and well-maintained environment for residents.
Experience with general building maintenance and landscaping is preferred, and experience with affordable housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is a plus.
What You’ll DoAs the Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the property is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Performing general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- Assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure building systems remain in good working condition
- Maintaining the grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal
- Assisting with annual apartment inspections and identifying maintenance needs
- Working with the Property Manager to coordinate vendors and order supplies
- Maintaining positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff
- Reporting lease or house rule violations when observed
- Responding appropriately to emergency maintenance situations
- Following company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact positively with residents, vendors, and team members
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Computer literacy (Outlook, Teams, Work Order Ticketing System)
- Professionalism and strong listening skills
- Experience with subsidized housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is helpful
- General building maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
- General groundskeeping and landscaping experience
- Reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Access to a personal smartphone with email, messaging, and app functionality (usage reimbursed)
- Valid driver’s license required
