Mobile Cleaner; Lincoln

As a member of the BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions Team, you will be generally responsible for cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety, and striving to exceed client expectations.

• Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; wet mop and polish hard‑surface floors.
• Strip, finish, seal, and polish hard‑surface floors manually or with power equipment as required.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Transport garbage from drop points to bins or compactor.
• Transport maintenance machinery between floors and job sites.
• Clean and store equipment and machinery used.
• Clean glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding, or other extension equipment.
• Clean washroom floors, stairwells, and elevator cabs where ladders are required.
• Load and unload supplies and replenish cleaning solutions.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas using snowplows, snow blowers, or shovels, or spread snow‑melting chemicals.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

• Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized workplace.
• Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work, including WHMIS.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned, as well as work in multiple locations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.

• Must meet security clearance requirements, where applicable.
• Must have a valid Class G license (required).

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This is a regular, full‑time position with a salary range of $18.99 - $22.34 per hour. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
