Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Automation and Controls Technician (2nd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $39.82 - $52.72 plus $1 shift differential per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

- $3,000 sign‑on bonus paid in three installments
$3,000 bonus is paid in three installments: $1,000 after the 60‑day probationary period, $1,000 after six months of employment, and $1,000 after 12 months.
What you’ll do- Plan, lay out, install, maintain, program, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and electronic controls, including PLCs and motion control devices; also perform related mechanical tasks.
- Create specifications for electrical systems and wiring diagrams for associated automation control systems and equipment; develop new code to control computerized systems and robotic devices using PLC Ladder Logic, Visual Basic, and other programming languages.
- Work from complicated drawings, specifications, or wiring diagrams; also create such drawings when necessary for project work.
- Direct the work of helpers and instruct plant emergency response members; adhere to safety guidelines and encourage communication to identify and eliminate hazards.
- Adhere to all facility environmental guidelines and procedures; identify pollution prevention projects; maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience as a maintenance electronics technician and/or controls in a manufacturing environment; proficiency with PLC and other electronic equipment.
