The Spirit of the Position
The Maintenance department is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities and maintenance needs for garages and surface lots, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned daily. They also interface with customers, handle disputes, and communicate effectively between departments, co‑workers, customers, and clients. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures the facilities and equipment are maintained in optimal condition and provides guidance and support to their team members.
Compensation& Shift
Compensation: $19.25/hour; non‑tipped.
Shift: Full Time, Tue‑Sat 2 p‑10:30 p.
Responsibilities- Ensure team members are compliant with safety guidelines.
- Monitor team performance.
- Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned daily.
- General maintenance of garages and surface lots – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting, etc.
- Conduct regular audits of the garages and surface lots. Report and identify maintenance and janitorial needs.
- Assist with snow removal and management of winter upkeep (managing sidewalks and garages).
- Operate garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure clean and safe floors, as needed.
- Ensure all daily duties on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely.
- Greet customers using their names, respond promptly to correspondence and problem resolutions over the intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and the parking office.
- Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can‑do attitude, and willingness to help.
- Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Experience with general facility maintenance required.
- Experience in customer relations.
- Parking industry experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license needed to operate maintenance vehicles.
- Professional and effective communication.
- Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations.
- Ability to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Proficient in English (speak, read, comprehend).
- Independent decision‑making with firm commitment to decisions.
- Sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
- Bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
- Operate machinery, including a golf cart.
