** Ranch Employee
** for this Nebraska cow-calf operation. A well-established, multi-generation Nebraska ranching operation is seeking åa dependable, self-motivated Ranch Employee to assist with all aspects of a progressive cow-calf enterprise. This position offers an opportunity to become an important part of a respected family operation where independence, responsibility, and livestock experience are highly valued.
The ranch consists of approximately 500-600 head of fall-calving cows and extensive grassland acreage. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of livestock care, feeding, pasture management, ranch maintenance, fencing, equipment operation, and general ranch responsibilities.## Hay Production
* Primarily grass hay production
* No row-crop farming responsibilities associated with the position
* Hay work consists primarily of harvesting, transporting, feeding, and managing forage inventories

* Primary Responsibilities:
*
* • Daily cattle checking and observation
• Livestock health monitoring and treatment
• Feeding cattle and hay management
• Pasture monitoring and movement of livestock
• Fence construction, maintenance, and repair
• Equipment operation and routine maintenance
• General ranch upkeep and facility maintenance
• Assisting with weaning, processing, and seasonal cattle work
• Coordinating with veterinarians, nutritionists, suppliers, and contractors
• Welding and fabrication projects when needed

* Qualifications:

* • Previous cow-calf experience preferred
• Ability to identify and treat livestock health issues
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Honest, dependable, and trustworthy
• Valid driver's license required
• Mechanical aptitude beneficial
• Welding experience helpful but not required
** Compensation:** $45K - $54K (based on experience)
