Maintenance Technician II – Lincoln, NE

Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing equipment across buildings managed by corporate facilities at all locations.
Hours:
in-office presence required. Typical hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with occasional start times as early as 3:00 am for snow removal as needed.
- Monitor and repair electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems to maintain operations and notify management of equipment nearing end of life.
- Complete all maintenance requests from the online maintenance system.
- Perform monthly and annual cleaning and preventive maintenance, including filter changes, lubrication, annual chiller inspections, grounds maintenance, and snow removal; update maintenance schedules for electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Monitor equipment status to ensure correct operating parameters (e.g., kitchen equipment, water heaters, chemicals in cooling towers, humidifiers, and water softeners).
- Repair, install, or move workstation furniture and equipment; set up meeting and conference rooms as requested.
- Distribute and collect recycling containers across departments.
- Take monthly electric, gas, and water meter readings.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as welding, soldering, painting of equipment/floors/pipes, and replacing lights or ballasts.
- Run water treatment tests for domestic and non-domestic applications.
- Participate as an active member of the emergency response team for emergencies and security issues.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience required.
- 1–3 years of related experience required.
- Ability to work on-call, currently 1 week per month.

Pay range: $24.76 - $39.61 per hour. Pay decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and location. This position is eligible for Ameritas benefits and the Short-Term Incentive Plan where applicable.
