Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality‑focused Environmental Services Associate to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in resident apartment homes and throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of housekeeping functions, including but not limited to, general cleaning/disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, spot cleaning, dusting.
- Perform scheduled residential apartment cleanings, including vacant and non‑vacant units or model suites.
- Assist with cleaning public areas, offices, and residential building corridors.
- Assist with resident activities setups and breakdowns and any residents request.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or janitorial experience (6+ months) preferred.
- Strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English, and communicate effectively with residents.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day.
- Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently.
- Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances.
- Ability to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenze, HIV, and hepatitis.
- May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
