Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This role is responsible for the troubleshooting and intermediate repair of public area equipment along with the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. If you have experience working in a residential apartment complex or healthcare setting, this would be a great fit!

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, plumbing fixtures, pipes and fittings, light bulbs and fixtures, and doors and locks.
  • Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.
  • Assist other Maintenance personnel in the completion of special projects, including campus snow removal and carpet removal.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of maintenance experience preferred, particularly in a residential apartment complex or healthcare setting.
  • Requires a working knowledge of standard trades (e.g., basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical) to perform routine repairs.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. Will be part of an on-call weekly rotation.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
