Responsibilities
  • Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures
  • Sweep, scrub, and refinish floors
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpet
  • Restock restrooms and replace light bulbs
  • Report repairs
  • Assist with outdoor cleaning (parking lot, windows, roof) and occasionally use a ladder
  • Use cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers, and finishes
  • Remove waste, including collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting hazardous waste to compactors, recycling material, and emptying cigarette receptacles
  • Keep equipment clean and report failures to maintenance staff
  • Maintain a safe working environment and comply with procedures, rules, regulations, infection control guidelines, and departmental quality standards
  • Attend all required in‑service education and training classes, including safety updates, to maintain technical knowledge
  • Demonstrate ability to meet time schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
  • Preferred:
    High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred:
    At least one year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and complete work in a timely manner
  • Ability to operate equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers
