The Accounts Payable Position is responsible to perform accounting and clerical duties related to the maintenance and processing of transactions.
Responsibilities- Effectively collaborates with vendors, service customers, and suppliers.
- Assembles, reviews, and verifies invoices and check requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Accurately sorts, codes, and matches invoices to ensure proper documentation and payment.
- Enter and upload invoices into the system, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Monitors and tracks expenses, processing expense reports.
- Prepares and processes electronic transfers and payments, ensuring smooth financial transactions.
- Organizes and performs check runs, ensuring all payments are made on time.
- Posts transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records, maintaining accurate financial data.
- Reconciles account transactions, ensuring all accounts are balanced and issues are resolved.
- Prepares detailed analysis of accounts to support financial decision-making.
- Monitors accounts to ensure all payments are up to date and addresses any overdue payments.
- Researches and resolves invoice issues, maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Maintains comprehensive vendor files, ensuring all information is current and accessible.
- Produces monthly reports, providing insight into financial performance.
- Ensures confidentiality of organizational information.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in Accounts Payable (Required)
- Knowledge of Sage software system (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
