Position
Description:
Airoom Architects Builders & Remodelers, Chicagoland’s premier 67 year old design/build company, is growing and seeking an experienced residential construction superintendent for high end residential remodeling and room additions. Strong project management skills and significant customer relation experience a must.
- Deep residential construction experience in high end remodeling and renovations and new builds and fluent in reading blueprints, construction details and materials schedules.
- Strong conventional rough framing layout knowledge and background in carpentry, and managing projects from concrete foundations through the trim out phase a must.
- Comfortable with lighting and electrical layouts, general plumbing and HVAC rough and trim and ability to adjust plans in the field to accommodate changes requests by homeowners.
- 10 years of field supervision experience preferred with a good understanding of residential building trades and a sub-contractor following.
- Strong communication and administration skills to interact within the design and build teams, including sub-contractors, material vendors and city inspectors.
- Ability to manage 5 residential projects simultaneously from sub-contractor selection to final punch list and collection.
- Ability to interact with purchasing staff, vendors, superintendents, and field crews to clarify and/or review and explain site issues and document same in project management software.
- Supervise daily construction activities and ensure compliance with blueprints , building department codes and pass all inspections.
- Manage project scheduling using construction management software such as Primavera, Buildertrend or Pro Core.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality control, ensuring adherence to blueprints and schematics.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, including documentation of any changes or issues that arise.
- Manage clients daily expectations and communications from start of construction through final expectation
Competitive base salary with an attractive bonus inventive program. Current team members earn $150K - $250K including bonuses and benefits annually. Full benefits package:
