Senior Architect

Airoom Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Architect to lead design on high-end residential remodeling, additions, and new construction across the Chicago area. In this senior role, you'll guide projects from concept through construction within our integrated design-build model. Responsibilities include developing code-compliant plans and specifications, coordinating closely with designers, project managers, and craftsmen, conducting site visits, resolving field issues, and presenting solutions to clients.

You'll mentor junior staff while helping deliver innovative, detail-driven designs that reflect Airoom's craftsmanship, integrity, and client-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design for high-end residential additions, remodels, and new construction projects
• Develop code-compliant plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Coordinate closely with designers, project managers, and field teams throughout design-build process
• Conduct site visits, assessments, and field verifications; resolve design issues during construction
• Present design concepts and manage client expectations and approvals
• Ensure projects meet structural, code, zoning, and permitting requirements
• Oversee quality of architectural deliverables, details, and finishes
• Mentor junior designers/architects and support their professional development
• Collaborate on budgets, schedules, and value-engineering solutions
• Support continuous improvement of design standards and best practices
