SUMMARY: The MCO Verification Specialist provides financial, clerical, and administrator services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Run monthly all payer verification.
- Obtain authorization for Medicare B services.
- Maintain daily records of admissions/discharges and status change within facility.
- Assist with medical plan changes.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Accounts Receivable: 1 year experience, required.
- Experience in Long Term Care industry, preferred.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
