RN PACU

North Shore Surgical Center is a fast‑paced ambulatory surgical center committed to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care in specialties such as ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, IVF, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology.

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in the PACU.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition for safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians with procedures, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family preparation for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in IL.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre Op/PACU, Med/Surg, or Critical Care. Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Hourly:
Minimum $36.22 – Maximum $54.33.
