Wound Care Nurse

Nivram Management - We are looking for a Wound Care Nurse to join our compassionate, care-giving team! The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for providing primary skin care to residents with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.

• Provides treatment protocols to ward off skin irritation and infection for wounds that may not heal well, because of other medical problems, such as diabetes or poor circulation.
• Cooperates with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
• Interprets restorative care policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc., as necessary.
• Provides direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
• Ensures that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to the care.
• Develops and participates in programs designed for in-service education, on the job training and orientation classes for newly assigned personnel.
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• LPN/RN credentialed in IL, license in good standing.
• Experience in long‑term care is preferred.
