Director of Nursing (DON)

A family-owned skilled nursing organization is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, promoting regulatory compliance, and fostering a resident-centered culture focused on quality care.

As the Director of Nursing, you will work collaboratively with the Administrator, interdisciplinary teams, and nursing staff to ensure exceptional clinical outcomes while cultivating a positive, supportive environment for both residents and employees.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Overseeing daily clinical operations of the nursing department

  • Supervising and supporting nursing leadership and nursing staff

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Promoting quality resident care and positive clinical outcomes

  • Collaborating with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to improve resident services

  • Monitoring clinical documentation, care planning, and regulatory compliance

  • Supporting recruitment, orientation, education, and retention of nursing staff

  • Maintaining survey readiness and participating in quality improvement initiatives

  • Addressing clinical concerns and implementing corrective action plans when appropriate

  • Promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care

What We’re Looking For:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Previous nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

  • Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to mentor, develop, and support nursing teams

  • Commitment to resident-centered care and clinical excellence

  • Ability to meet standard health and background requirements
